An unprecedented socioeconomic and risk assessment in the municipality.
Following the double earthquake of June 24th, the Mayor's Office of Chacao, in alliance with the Condominium Boards of the municipality's buildings, launched an unprecedented socioeconomic and risk census. This joint effort allows us to precisely understand the situation of each affected household.
The census is confidential, technical and structured, designed under criteria that comply with international standards required by multilateral organizations. Each data point collected serves to support funding requests to national and international entities that can provide resources for reconstruction.

Phase 1: Return Home — because every family deserves to go back to their home.
In this first phase, we prioritize attention to affected apartments in yellow and red categories belonging to residents over 65 years old. Our commitment is to advance progressively but steadily, ensuring that the most vulnerable residents are the first to return home.
Each intervention is executed with technical supervision, certified materials and the human accompaniment that characterizes the Chacao municipality.
Every repaired apartment is a family returning home. Every hand working on reconstruction does so with the conviction that Chacao rises with everyone.

The municipality began building inspections with volunteer engineers, the Construction Chamber, the Engineers Association and recognized firms.
This coordinated technical effort allowed us to have an online inspection map, where each evaluated building appears georeferenced with its risk level. Transparency in information is fundamental for residents to know the status of their buildings and for international cooperation organizations to have verifiable data.
